Acoem will showcase its ATD gunshot detection system at GSX 2026, highlighting an approach to security challenges that extends beyond traditional line-of-sight surveillance.

The system uses real-time acoustic intelligence to detect and locate the origin of gunfire within a 500-foot radius using a single sensor. AI processing occurs directly within the sensor, enabling edge-processed, AI-validated detection without relying on networks or external servers.

According to the product description, the approach is designed to reduce system complexity, installation effort and hardware costs compared with solutions requiring multiple sensors.

The ATD system also features automated PTZ control, allowing acoustic data to be translated into verified visual evidence for responders. The combination of acoustic detection and visual verification is intended to extend detection capabilities beyond the limits of cameras and physical perimeters.
