Knightscope, Inc., announced today that it has joined the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), a nonprofit organization devoted to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics.

Knightscope will take an active role in AUVSI’s Cyber, Ground, and Defense Advocacy Committees as well as the newly created Robotics Subcommittee, which drive strategic policies and funding priorities for uncrewed systems across government and industry. A key policy development initiative is a focus on a National Robotics Strategy.

“Knightscope has always championed innovation in the name of public safety, and joining AUVSI enables us to push that mission even further,” said William Santana Li, chairman and chief executive officer of Knightscope. “We are proud to collaborate with other industry pioneers through AUVSI to accelerate the adoption of life-saving autonomous technologies, and we intend to help shape the policies that will make America safer and stronger in the years and decades to come.”
