Antique Stolen from Museum in Bangor, Maine

Item stolen when attendant left her desk

According to WLBZ-2 in Bangor, Maine, police are searching for leads on the theft of an antique fishing rod that was stolen from the Bangor Museum and Center for History on Sept. 29.

The rod, reportedly valued at $500, was 130 years old and was stolen while on exhibit when a staff member left her desk, reported WLBZ-2. The item was simpply resting on hooks approximatley six feet above the museum's floor according to the report.
