Centerra Group awarded URENCO USA protective services contract

Company has been selected as the Protective Services contractor at URENCO USA’s (UUSA) site in Southeast New Mexico

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL -- March 2, 2017 – Centerra Group, LLC (Centerra), the world's leading global government and critical infrastructure services company, has been selected as the Protective Services contractor at URENCO USA’s (UUSA) site in Southeast New Mexico. The contract is a five-year contract with two, one-year options.

Centerra provides armed security officers and supervisors at the remote location in Eunice, NM. Centerra’ s Security Force controls access into and out of the Controlled Access Area, monitors alarms through a Central Alarm Station and Secondary Alarm Station,  responds and assesses alarms, and protects material and personnel. The company’s Security Officers are qualified as Level III Guards with the State of New Mexico and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

UUSA began operation on June 11, 2010, and has been in business for over 30 years. The Facility is a 523-acre owned-operated, Category III Uranium Enrichment Facility, is licensed by the NRC to enrich Special Nuclear Material of “Low Strategic Significance” for use at power reactors and the only one of its kind in North America and has three sister sites in the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands.
