Genetec has expanded the investigation capabilities within its Security Center SaaS platform, adding tools designed to help security teams conduct more efficient investigations across large, multi-site environments.

The updated functionality is intended to support real-world investigative workflows, allowing operators to begin with limited information and quickly locate relevant footage across multiple cameras and locations. Intelligent search tools help surface related events, including similar individuals and entry-and-exit detections within recorded scenes.

Once relevant footage is identified, operators can track the movement of a person or vehicle across different sites. Trajectory visualization tools are designed to help reconstruct activity and identify connections between locations without requiring manual review of extended video timelines.

As investigations develop, the platform automatically organizes collected evidence into a chronological sequence. This structured timeline is designed to simplify documentation, validate findings and support case sharing among stakeholders.
