DMP showcases its VK VMS video management solution at GSX 2026, expanding the Virtual Keypad platform with live video viewing and on-site device management.
Activated through DMP’s new XV Plus Gateway hardware, VK VMS can be offered independently of the company’s AlarmVision technology, which has been restructured into a suite of analytic subscription options. The company said the separation gives dealers more flexibility in building video systems for monitoring.
“We heard our dealers clearly,” said Ken Francis, DMP Executive Vice President of Video Solutions. “They want more video management functionality and flexibility in how they deploy and quote AlarmVision. VK VMS and the new AlarmVision options are a direct response to that feedback.”
Dealers can offer VK VMS for surveillance and video management, AlarmVision for intelligent detection or combine the technologies to add continuous recording to zone-linked events. The combined approach allows users to detect and classify activity, review footage and preserve video for future investigation.
DMP has replaced its previous AlarmVision subscription with two options: AlarmVision Plus and AlarmVision Pro. The company said the subscriptions allow dealers to match video intelligence and cost to individual customer needs while providing features including Dynamic Slicing and contextual description.
“AlarmVision Plus is the natural next evolution of the award-winning AlarmVision technology,” said Brad Tucker, Vice President of Product Management and Support at DMP. “Designed with VUE Plus Cameras in mind, the subscription allows cameras to serve as zones within the alarm system, enabling smart detection and scene awareness.”
AlarmVision Pro adds AI capabilities that understand activity in context, generate detailed event descriptions and enable natural-language searches of recorded video using specific attributes. Users can search for a person based on characteristics such as clothing, appearance, activity or location instead of manually reviewing footage. Dynamic Slicing preserves full-resolution image detail for earlier detection at greater distances.
The expanded Gateway family includes the XV Plus-20, XV Plus-80 and rackmounted XV Plus-80R. The XV Plus-20 supports up to 20 rated camera megapixels and includes 1 TB of video storage. The XV Plus-80 and XV Plus-80R support up to 80 rated camera megapixels and include 4 TB of storage.
The Gateway models are available in desktop and rackmount configurations and are designed to simplify installation by eliminating the need for inbound ports, port forwarding or a separate VPN appliance.
DMP said the product will be available Sept. 24.
