Aiphone, the leading international manufacturer of intercom and security communication products, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new suite of access control solutions.
Known as the AC Series, this new product marks Aiphone’s official entrance into a full line of access control products to complement their security communication solutions. The product line will include system management software, remote hosting capability, over-door controllers, proximity readers, credentials, and more.
The AC Series is a synergistic addition for Aiphone, a trusted company in the security industry. Aiphone has provided reliable security communication systems to keep people safer in a variety of buildings. Their solutions can be found in schools, offices, healthcare facilities, multi-tenant buildings, industrial plants, parking garages, and government agencies.
“The addition of the AC Series is a natural fit for Aiphone,” said Brad Kamcheff, marketing manager for Aiphone Corp. “It’s an access system built to solve problems with creative hardware and software solutions, just like our intercoms. We are often asked to recommend an access control line to integrate with our intercom systems. Now, when we get asked this question, we will be able to offer a system backed with the quality and integration of the Aiphone brand: the AC Series.”
The AC series also meets a variety of code and regulatory standards such as UL Listing, and NDAA and TAA compliance, making it an ideal solution for government buildings, schools and healthcare facilities. The AC Series is highly scalable from a single door to thousands of doors.
Here is an overview of the AC Series:
Readers and Credentials – The AC Series proximity readers have a 4- to 6-inch read range and can be mounted on a mullion or 1-gang box. They feature 125kHZ technology and can be used both indoor and outdoor.
The products are focused on an installer-centric design using solid state components that are easy to install, difficult to break, and simplify many aspects of installation. Various components feature built-in lock power, fully configurable inputs and outputs, short protections, overvoltage protections, maintenance free real-time clock, and LCD screen for easy troubleshooting. All of this is available in a compact package.
Management Software – The AC Nio software is a modern, secure, and customizable access control interface. It is easy to use, yet still has powerful options such as a dashboard home page, scripting engine and trigger system, customized notification rules, ad-hoc schedules, automatic U.S. and Canadian holidays, DSC intrusion integration, various reporting functions, and flexible administrator permissions.
In addition, Aiphone is offering several starter kit packages and add-on accessories as part of its AC Series. Customers can choose from two-door packages that come complete with a wall mounted enclosure, door master controller, and power supply. Another starter kit is also available for elevator control.
