dormakaba announced growing integrator adoption of its E-Plex 7900 electronic lock following the recent launch of an open application programming interface designed to expand integration with leading access control platforms.

The company said a growing group of partners now supporting the platform includes Genetec, Imron, Hartmann and Lockt. According to dormakaba, the partners represent a broad cross-section of access control systems commonly deployed across enterprise, institutional and commercial environments.

The integrations enable connectivity between the E-Plex 7900 electronic lock and systems used across healthcare, higher education, commercial offices, government and municipal and mixed-use facilities.

The E-Plex 7900 is designed to provide enterprise-grade access control at a lower cost, positioning it as an option for organizations seeking to expand door coverage while maintaining centralized system management. Through the open API, the lock can integrate directly with access control ecosystems, extending centralized monitoring, credential management and event visibility to additional doors and applications.

dormakaba said the expanding network of integration partners helps organizations maximize existing infrastructure investments while avoiding technology lock-in.

“Customers want solutions that integrate cleanly into the platforms they already use,” said Nick O'Carroll, senior vice president of access hardware solutions and access channel sales at dormakaba North America. “Along with our trusted partners, we are building momentum behind the E-Plex 7900 platform as a scalable, API-driven electronic locking solution for organizations seeking flexibility, affordability and long-term system interoperability.”

The company also said the E-Plex 7900 will soon launch a new reader option supporting Farpointe Conekt mobile credentials in both 13.56 MHz and Bluetooth Low Energy, and will be digital wallet ready.

dormakaba plans to showcase the expanding ecosystem at booth #20007 during ISC West 2026 in Las Vegas, scheduled for March 23–27. Attendees will be able to see live demonstrations of the E-Plex 7900 API and its integrations with access control platforms.
