Medeco achieves certification to ISO 14001:2004

High security lock manufacturer joins global elite

SALEM, Va. (April 20, 2016) - Medeco® High Security Locks, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, was recently presented with its ISO 14001:2004 certificate from Intertek, affirming that the company’s Salem, Virginia operation adheres to the internationally-recognized standard for environmental management in the design and manufacture of locks and locking systems.

“The impetus for Medeco and its dedicated employees to attain ISO 14001:2004 certification was to improve the company’s global competitiveness,” said Tom Kaika, president of Medeco and ASSA ABLOY Americas High Security and Aftermarket Group. “But it also means we’re now producing better quality products while realizing increases in operational efficiency and productivity.”
