Glow has appointed Patti Degnan as its chief information security officer, adding a cybersecurity and privacy leader with nearly two decades of industry experience to its leadership team.

Degnan, formerly an operating partner at Andreessen Horowitz and CISO of Notion, will lead the development of Glow's Security, IT, Compliance, Privacy and Customer Trust organizations. She will also work with the company's product and engineering teams as Glow focuses on delivering value to its enterprise customers.

The appointment comes after Glow recently emerged from stealth with a mission to address real-world challenges facing security teams. The company said Degnan's leadership will play a central role in strengthening its internal security posture and supporting its customers.

At Andreessen Horowitz, Degnan advised companies on evolving best practices for building secure AI-native solutions and helped foster a network of CISOs and CIOs. Before joining the venture capital firm, she founded the security organization at Notion and scaled the function as the company grew past 100 million users.

Earlier in her career, Degnan led teams at Looker through its acquisition by Google and held leadership roles at Informatica, Lending Club and Symantec.

Degnan has also served on the advisory boards of Drata and Whistic and was a member of SVCI. She currently serves as an advisor to Crucyble, Venice and Oximy.

Glow said the appointment comes as AI continues to reshape the threat landscape, increasing the importance of maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and threats. Degnan is expected to grow her team in the months ahead.
