The Electronic Security Expo (ESX) is set for June 16-19 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. Here’s a closer look at what show organizers have in store:

Educational Sessions

ESX will provide educational sessions spanning four important tracks – Sales, Operations, Management, and Monitoring, as well as a special Executive Leadership track.

Sales track: Learn to develop your brand and go-to-market strategy to keep the focus on building Recurring Monthly Revenue (RMR). Session topics include: Selling video monitoring solutions; harnessing AI in sales and marketing; Expanding sales to existing customers; consultative selling; cloud-based access control; and sales team management and performance evaluation. 

Operations track: Discover best practices that improve a company’s operational excellence and customer experience. Session topics include: Project management; operations and sales harmony; developing and retaining technicians; limiting operational expenses; enhancing subcontractor relationships; and fire alarm system maintenance.

Management track: Learn to implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that streamline processes and improve top and bottom-line results. Session topics include: RMR growth tactics; financial health and valuation; video monitoring; adopting a sell-ready mindset; strategies to tap into growing commercial verticals; and technician incentive strategies.

Monitoring track: Discover best-of-breed operator training, state-of-the-art technology infrastructure, and vital monitoring processes and procedures for next-gen monitoring centers, including topics on AI-powered analytics, K-12 safety and security, and more.

Main Stage Events and Keynotes

Kick off the show on June 17 at the OpenXChange Breakfast – with special media sponsorship by Security Business and SecurityInfoWatch – featuring discussions on cutting-edge and emerging technologies, services, and strategies shaping the electronic security industry.

The keynote luncheon on June 17 features motivational speaker Kyle Scheele, and the keynote on June 18 will feature Major League Baseball Hall of Famer John Smoltz’s tips for developing an All-Star Culture. ESX will close the show with a luncheon keynote from industry M&A and valuation guru Michael Barnes, who will review U.S. revenue growth, market share breakdowns, operating KPls, and more.

Awards and Charity Fundraising

ESX has long been known for its annual Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award – an esteemed honor recognizing outstanding volunteer leadership. This year’s Weinstock Celebration will take place at the home of the Atlanta Braves as they take on the New York Mets.

Additionally, the Security Industry Alarm Coalition will present the 2024 William N. Moody Award and Police Dispatch Quality Award at ESX.

As for product awards, the annual ESX Innovation Awards celebrates groundbreaking innovations in categories such as access control, video surveillance, fire/life safety, cybersecurity, and more. Winning products are also considered for the ESX Tech Vision Challenge, a “Shark Tank”-style live competition.

Finally, June 16 will feature a fundraising event for the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST)  to support the organization’s workforce development. FAST was created by theElectronic Security Association(ESA) and theSecurity Industry Association(SIA) to promote careers in the physical security technology industry.
