Protection 1 hires Bob Ryan as Senior VP, Joe Longfield as Regional VP

Chicago, IL – October 12, 2015- Protection 1, the premier full-service business and home security company in the U.S., today announced that it has named Bob Ryan to the position of Senior Vice President, Field Sales. The company also announced that it has hired Joe Longfield as its new Regional Vice President for its West Region. Longfield will report to Chief Information and Operating Officer Don Young.

Ryan will have responsibility for both the residential and commercial field sales teams and will report directly to Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Jamie Haenggi.

Ryan began his career in 1989 as a small business sales representative in Chicago and held positions of increasing responsibility as his career progressed including commercial sales representative, national accounts manager, director of Commercial Marketing, director of National Accounts and most recently, he served as ASG’s chief marketing officer with responsibility for ASG’s sales and marketing activities.

Longfield began his career in the alarm industry over 23 years ago when he joined Honeywell. While at Honeywell, he worked in both sales and operations, advancing to a general manager position, and later becoming the vice president of sales for North America in 2001. Longfield also held the regional business management position for the west region at Siemens Building Technologies, prior to transitioning to the regional vice president role at Stanley Convergent Security Solutions. While at Stanley, he successfully led the installation and service operations teams. He has extensive knowledge concerning the sales and operational aspects of branch management, having managed a $140 million regional P&L.
