System Surveyor Launches Native Smartphone App for Security Integrators

The new System Surveyor Phone app gives security technicians and project managers smartphone access to surveys, floor plans and installation project details.
System Surveyor has launched the System Surveyor Phone app, a native smartphone application for iOS and Android designed to give project managers, technicians and subcontractors mobile access to site survey and system design information.
The company said the app was built specifically for security technicians and installers, bringing core survey capabilities directly to smartphones already used in the field. The release is intended to complement existing tablet and web access while helping accelerate project delivery from sales through installation.
According to System Surveyor, the app is designed to close the gap between sales and installation teams by providing field personnel with real-time access to surveys, floor plans, project details and photos captured during the sales process. The company said the app supports a smoother transition from system design and installation to ongoing lifecycle management.
“Technicians and subcontractors represent one of the largest segments of a security system integrator’s workforce, yet they’ve historically been disconnected from the photos, data and requirements captured by sales teams during a site survey,” said Chris Hugman, CEO and co-founder of System Surveyor. “With our new System Surveyor Phone app, we’re enabling teams to take System Surveyor everywhere they work — from field to office and back again — managing the entire project lifecycle from any device.”
System Surveyor said the app is designed to help integrators reduce installation time and minimize rework caused by miscommunication by giving project teams immediate access to complete project information. Additional capabilities include the ability to capture and automatically upload photos to projects, update installation and implementation statuses and improve the timeline from project award to completed installation.
The company described the release as a significant step in mobile field enablement for security integrators. By delivering survey intelligence directly to smartphones, System Surveyor said integrators can equip technicians and subcontractors with the information needed to complete installations more quickly and accurately while reducing errors and supporting digital project management workflows.
