Brivo has named Hans Kahler chief customer officer, creating a new executive-level position focused on increasing customer satisfaction among the company's reseller and end-user customers.
Kahler returns to Brivo about four months after the company announced his departure as chief operating officer following a 13-year tenure that began when he joined Eagle Eye Networks as its sixth employee in 2013.
During his previous tenure, Kahler held leadership responsibilities across numerous areas of the business, including business development, manufacturing, support, marketing, customer success, engineering and operations. He also played a role in the merger of Eagle Eye Networks and Brivo.
In announcing the new position, Brivo founder and CEO Dean Drako said the company is increasing its focus on customer experience as it continues to grow globally. Kahler will be charged with driving that effort and representing the voice of customers across the organization.
“As Brivo reaches new levels of growth around the globe, we’re expanding our efforts to ensure Brivo is easy to do business with, listens to customer feedback, proactively solves customer challenges, and delivers exceptional support every step of the way,” Drako said.
“I’m passionate about solving customer challenges, creating value, and delivering innovative and reliable solutions, and I am honored to begin the next chapter in my journey at Brivo as CCO,” Kahler said.
Kahler began his career as a software engineer at IBM and later worked on enterprise applications and video surveillance and analytics technology. His experience before joining Eagle Eye Networks included developing partnerships with video surveillance manufacturers and working with cloud-based security health monitoring technology.
