ASIS International Names Leaders for 2026 Global and Regional Governing Boards
ASIS International announced its new global and regional board leadership for 2026, with the incoming directors set to begin their roles on Jan. 1, 2026. The world’s largest association for security management professionals released the list of officers and board members from its Global Board of Directors and five regional boards, including the newly seated Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Board.
Eddie Sorrells, CPP, PCI, PSP (U.S.) will serve as ASIS International’s 71st President. Pablo Colombres, CPP (Brazil) was named President-Elect of the Global Board, and the Executive Committee also includes Secretary/Treasurer Richard Kelly, CPP (U.S.) and ASIS International Chief Executive Officer William Tenney.
At-Large Directors on the Global Board include Wilson Esangbedo, CPP (Nigeria), Mark Folmer, CPP, PSP (Canada), Mark Krause, CPP (U.S.), Ralph Miles, CPP (U.S.), Lisa Oliveri, CPP, PCI (U.S.), Axel Petri, CPP (Germany), and C. Joshua Villines, CPP, PCI, PSP (U.S.).
Representatives on the Global Board from regional boards are Danny Chan, Chair of the Asia Pacific Regional Board (Singapore), Andrew Williams, CPP, Chair of the European Regional Board (U.K.), Marco Vega, CPP, Chair of the Latin America Caribbean Regional Board (Costa Rica), Craig S. Russell, CPP, Chair of the North American Regional Board (U.S.), and Ahamed Mohammed Abdi, CPP, PCI, PSP, Chair of the Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Board (Kenya).
Ex-officio voting members on the board include Martin Gill, Ph.D., Immediate Past Chair of the ASIS Foundation (U.S.) and Anders Noyes, CPP, Immediate Past Chair of the CSO Center (U.S.). Ex-officio non-voting members are James S. Cawood, Ph.D., CPP, PCI, PSP, Immediate Past Chair of the Professional Certification Board (U.S.) and David R. Feeney, CPP, PSP, Immediate Past Chair of the Professional Standards Board (U.S.).
ASIS International’s regional boards reflect a broad set of leaders from around the world. The Asia Pacific Regional Board of Directors is led by Chair Danny Chan with Vice Chair Paul Devassy, CPP and Secretary/Treasurer Tyn van Amelsfoort. At-large directors include Nurul Choudhury, CPP, Pascal Engler and others.
The European Regional Board is chaired by Andrew Williams, CPP with Eric Davoine, CPP as Vice Chair and Mykola Mikheiev, CPP, PCI, PSP as Secretary/Treasurer. The Latin America Caribbean Regional Board is led by Chair Marco Vega, CPP with Vice Chair Tatiana Scatena and Secretary/Treasurer Alvar Orellana McBride, CPP. The North American Regional Board is chaired by Craig S. Russell, CPP, with Vice Chair Rachelle Loyear and Secretary/Treasurer Jason M. Sikora, CPP.
The Sub-Saharan Africa Regional Board, marking ASIS International’s expanded governance structure, is chaired by Ahamed Mohammed Abdi, CPP, PCI, PSP with Vice Chair Joseph B. Awuni and Secretary/Treasurer Eva F. Nolle, CPP, PCI. At-large directors include Wale Adeagbo, Alex Cann, CPP and several others.
ASIS International selected these global and regional board members through their respective nominating committees with approval by the Global Board of Directors.
