Brink’s purchases Brazilian security company

Acquisition increases company’s presence in market

The Brink’s Company announced Thursday that its’ Brazil-based subsidiary has purchased security services firm Sebival for $50 million.

According to a statement issued by Brink’s, Sebival, which is headquartered in Campo Grande, Brazil, is a provider of cash-in-transit and payment processing services in Midwestern Brazil and employees 3,300 people.

Brink’s President and CEO Michael T. Dan said that Sebival was an "excellent fit" for the company and should help compliment their strong presence in the southern and eastern regions of the country.
