The SAFR SC820 provides a low-profile dome form factor to enable running the entire facial recognition process (not just face detection, but also the matching) directly on the camera, thus requiring absolutely no GPU servers. The SC820 is ideal for installations where a smaller, more discreet form factor matters without giving up coverage.

Its 2.7mm–13.5mm motorized varifocal lens delivers a significantly wider field of view (up to 90.3° horizontal) than SAFR's standard dome models, allowing fewer cameras to cover more ground in tight or aesthetically sensitive spaces.

The SC820 runs at 4K resolution and is fully ONVIF-compatible for existing VMS systems using Profile M to send medatada along with the video stream. Biometric data is AES 256-bit encrypted and stored locally, with no images of faces retained, keeping the SC820 CCPA- and GDPR-aligned out of the box.
