Chris Stori brings experience in enterprise networking, IoT and cloud-managed platforms to his new leadership role at Verkada.

Verkada has appointed Chris Stori as chief information officer, where he will lead corporate IT strategy, business systems and broader technology initiatives as the company continues to scale its operations.

In the role, Stori is tasked with supporting Verkada’s growth by advancing its global technology infrastructure and internal systems.

"Chris' track record reflects the operational rigor and ambition that will define Verkada's next chapter," said Filip Kaliszan, Co-Founder and CEO of Verkada. "As we continue to invest in AI-powered capabilities and scale our global footprint, Chris' leadership will be critical to helping us build the AI-powered operating system for the physical world."

Stori joins Verkada from Bright Machines, where he served as CEO. He previously spent more than a decade at Cisco, holding multiple leadership positions, including senior vice president and general manager of networking experiences. In that role, he oversaw enterprise networking, IoT and Meraki, and helped scale Meraki’s customer base from 18,000 to more than 600,000 organizations.

Prior to Cisco, Stori worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, advising on international market expansion.

The appointment comes as Verkada reports continued growth, including a 30% year-over-year increase in revenue and a global customer base of more than 31,000 organizations, including over 100 Fortune 500 companies. The company said a majority of its customers deploy multiple product lines, with many expanding their investment within the first year.

Verkada attributed its performance to demand for AI-powered physical security offerings designed to help organizations deter threats and improve operational efficiency. The company recently introduced an AI-powered deterrence capability that uses vision, audio and language models to detect and warn potential intruders before incidents occur, reflecting a shift toward more proactive security approaches.

"Verkada is redefining what's possible with Physical AI and delivering real-world impact," Stori stated. "I am excited to join the team and focus on scaling our global business operations and internal infrastructure to further deepen our impact across industries and markets."
