DMP Expands VUE Camera Portfolio with New VUE Plus Models Featuring AlarmVision Technology

DMP's new VUE Plus camera lineup expands the company's professional-grade video portfolio with varifocal, panoramic and fisheye models featuring AlarmVision technology.
Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) has expanded its professional-grade video portfolio with the launch of VUE Plus cameras, adding varifocal, panoramic and fisheye models to its existing VUE lineup.
The new cameras are designed for professional alarm monitoring and introduce higher-resolution imaging, improved low-light performance, direct panel integration and onboard analytics. The lineup includes 6MP, 8MP and 12MP models that support up to four areas of interest or boundary boxes per camera for zone-level alarm verification.
The VUE Plus series extends DMP's proprietary AlarmVision technology to the edge. According to the company, the technology enables the cameras to connect directly with DMP XR and XT Series intrusion control panels, allowing the cameras to recognize when a system is armed and respond accordingly. The onboard analytics are designed to distinguish meaningful threats from routine activity so only qualifying alarm events are communicated to the panel, helping reduce nuisance alarms and improve confidence in alarm response.
Select VUE Plus models also include red/blue or white deterrence lighting and two-way audio, providing the ability to respond to suspicious activity directly from the camera.
The cameras are ONVIF-compliant and built on an open architecture, allowing dealers and end users to deploy, integrate and expand video systems over time.
"The security industry is being asked to verify alarms faster, respond smarter and reduce false dispatches. VUE Plus cameras do exactly that by combining onboard intelligence with direct panel integration," said CEO Rick Britton. "By bringing AlarmVision directly to the edge, your cameras will know when your panel is armed without additional hardware or complex integrations—helping you deliver smarter monitoring and greater confidence in alarm events."
DMP said VUE Plus cameras are available now through its authorized dealers worldwide and are supported by the company's training, support and warranty programs.
