Brivo has launched Brivo Reseller MCP, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that connects AI assistants with partner portal tools to help security systems integrators analyze customer accounts, monitor equipment status and identify business growth opportunities.

The new offering allows resellers to access Brivo system information through AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini using natural language prompts. Users can create dashboards, identify customers approaching renewal, review service tickets and analyze growth patterns in minutes, tasks that the company said could otherwise take days or weeks.

Brivo also introduced a private beta for Brivo MCP for end users.

“Brivo meets our customers and partners wherever they do their work. Today many people spend a lot of time working in tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini—because these tools are so powerful,” said Steve Van Till, Brivo founder and president. “You can now use whatever AI tool you like to help manage your Brivo system using natural language prompts. We meet you where you need us to meet you.”

Brivo Reseller MCP is intended to help security resellers improve operational efficiency and identify opportunities to grow their businesses. For example, a reseller can ask an AI assistant to provide monthly account, door and panel growth for the previous 12 months, break down accounts by pricing tier and assess progress against sales targets.

The MCP server also provides access to equipment status information, including offline control panels and firmware, reader and door errors across customer accounts. Resellers can review site information, door and panel counts, product editions, enabled features, settings and billing cycles. Additional capabilities include monitoring credential usage and administrator counts, tracking account and hardware growth and generating formatted customer reports, support tickets and quotes.

The platform can also bring Brivo security data into workflows alongside customer relationship management, billing, email, support and project management software. Queries and actions are governed by existing Brivo administrator profile permissions.

The initial release is read-only. Brivo MCP cannot change system settings, edit accounts or lock and unlock doors.

Brivo resellers said the integration could help teams identify issues earlier, streamline service operations and develop customer insights beyond predefined reports and dashboards.

“Claude is already part of our team's daily workflow, so the Brivo Reseller MCP fits right in. Our Alarm Support team will use it to catch offline panels and reader errors before customers call, resolve issues remotely before rolling a truck, prep account summaries ahead of customer reviews, and reconcile door counts and editions against what we bill,” said Merle Hughes, vice president of service at NAVCO in Fullerton, Calif.

Jo Kaye, co-founder and director of Balthorne Security Solutions in London, said the company is looking forward to using the technology to explore client data, identify trends and create tailored insights without being limited to predefined reports and dashboards.

“Brivo Reseller MCP can help us connect information with insight, allowing our entire organization to become more proactive, more informed, and more valuable to our clients throughout the life of the relationship,” said Chris Gilbert, founder and president of Security Pros in Sellersburg, Ind.

Brivo said global resellers will use the MCP server to increase operational efficiency and deliver greater value to customers. Additional information and access requests are available at apidocs.brivo.com.
