COPS Monitoring announces multiple new hires

Company strengthens its management and executive team in preparation for more growth

June 13, 2016: WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ – COPS Monitoring, the leader in wholesale monitoring, today announced recent advancements in the company’s management and executive team to meet the current and expanding needs of its growing company driven by high demand for its high-quality alarm monitoring and dealer support services.

Heather Sparks has been promoted to Executive Vice President. With more than 18-years at COPS, Heather has served in various management roles, including her most recent position of VP of Data Entry and Dealer Support. In her new role, she will have increased responsibility for attaining company goals while maintaining the highest quality standards for which COPS has become widely known. Heather will also be more directly involved with Operations where her positive influence and strong work ethic will help develop the next generation of management by instilling and maintaining the company’s unique philosophies and standards of excellence that helped COPS Monitoring stand out from competition and grow to nearly 2 million accounts.

Philip Gregory was promoted to Vice President of Information Technology. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Philip began his career in 1997 as a programmer and web developer. He joined COPS in 2004 as a programmer involved with the continued development of MPower, COPS Monitoring's leading Dealer and Subscriber account management software. After his promotion to Software Development Manager, Philip has helped to lead the company's staff of in-house programmers making MPower, Generations (COPS' exclusive monitoring platform), dealer and subscriber mobile services, and API capabilities to be among the best in the industry. As Vice President of Information Technology, Philip will oversee future development and all aspects of COPS technology and interconnectivity in its award-winning network of central stations.

After 15 years as a Medical Administrator responsible for the operations of multi-specialty and ambulatory surgical centers, Kara Pickell joins COPS as Vice President of Operations to oversee its 6 central stations and its staff of more than 485 central station employees. A Rutgers University Camden Graduate, Kara brings her extensive skills and experience relevant to managing the operations of fast-paced central stations such as facilities management, and expertise in human resources, scheduling, employee management, federal standards compliance, confidential data protection, quality assurance, and maintenance of mission-critical systems. As Vice President of Operations, Kara is responsible for all aspects of central station recruiting, hiring, administering the company’s proprietary Gradation training program, maintaining COPS' CSAA Five Diamond Certifications, high performance standards, and industry-leading response times.

Hard work and dedication earned Julie Tenerelli a promotion to Dealer Support Manager. For the past 9 years, Julie has served COPS dealers in positions such as Dispatcher, Dealer Support Representative, and Supervisor. In her new role of Dealer Support Manager, Tenerelli will be responsible for leading the COPS team of Dealer Support Representatives. Her meticulous attention to detail and unrelenting focus on quality will ensure that its more than 3,500 alarm dealers will continue to receive unparalleled service.
