SIA Names Dan Cremins as 2026 Standards Service Award Recipient

The Security Industry Association (SIA) has selected Dan Cremins as the recipient of the 2026 SIA Standards Service Award.

The SIA Standards Service Award recognizes individuals for sustained excellence and dedicated volunteer service in leadership, education, development and advocacy of SIA’s standards programs and services.

Cremins is senior sales and market development manager at Delta Electronics and has more than 25 years of experience developing customer driven technology solutions. Before his current role he worked at Tyco and later led product management at March Networks. In 2023 he joined Delta Electronics’ Intelligent Building Technologies team focused on smart and healthy building solutions.

Since 2023 Cremins has served as chair for the SIA Built Environment Advisory Board. That board fosters engagement between the global security industry and adjacent markets such as proptech and smart buildings through partnerships, education and thought leadership.

Cremins has authored industry articles and spoken at events including ISC West and ISC East, GSX, FSPA, AHR, ABC Keystone, Lifespan and Realcomm. Under his leadership the advisory board has presented educational sessions exploring how access control and video can be used beyond security in the built environment, and he has contributed to webinars and served as a panel speaker at SIA events.

In addition to his work with the Built Environment Advisory Board, Cremins produced a white paper for the SIA RISE community on how physical security solutions add value to smart building applications and co-presented the inaugural ESG Week in fall 2025 with SIA’s Environmental, Social and Governance Advisory Board.

SIA CEO Don Erickson said Cremins was being recognized for the significant time and effort he has devoted to raising awareness of the built environment and encouraging meaningful discussion among SIA members and the broader industry.

Cremins is set to receive the award at The Advance 2026 on March 24 at 10:30 a.m. in The Venetian Expo during ISC West. The membership meeting will include review of official association business, introduction of new board members, SIA elections and recognition of volunteer achievements.

Other honors planned for the event include presentation of the SIA Chair’s Award, Member of the Year Award, Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year Award and Committee Chair of the Year Award.
