Clear Watch Launches National Dealer Program for Proactive Video Monitoring
Clear Watch has launched a national Dealer Program designed to help security dealers and integrators grow recurring monthly revenue through proactive video monitoring services.
The program builds on Clear Watch's experience providing live video monitoring for commercial properties while incorporating AI object detection and platform automation. Led by industry veteran Glen Carter, the company said the technology allows dealers to offer proactive monitoring services at a price point that was not previously possible.
Unlike traditional alarm monitoring, Clear Watch operators monitor events as they unfold and can intervene in real time through live voice-down deterrence, verified alarm handling and direct digital dispatch to more than 700 public safety answering points nationwide.
“We don’t just record crime. We stop it,” the company said.
AI Detection and Automated Event Filtering
Clear Watch's platform is built around a proprietary AI engine that the company says identifies more than three times the object types of any other provider in the industry. The company said the depth of detection is designed to reduce false alarms and wasted operator time while supporting the monitoring of events that law enforcement takes seriously.
The platform includes real-time detection of objects and behaviors, recognizing people, vehicles and interactions rather than motion alone. Automated false alarm filtering reduces nuisance activations before they reach an operator, while trained operators at Clear Watch Central provide live voice-down deterrence from the company's 24/7 monitoring facility.
Additional capabilities include direct digital dispatch to more than 700 PSAPs, license plate recognition, thermal imaging and privacy masking for commercial applications.
Building RMR From Existing Camera Systems
The Dealer Program is designed to layer monitoring services onto IP cameras already installed at customer sites, eliminating the need for dealers to replace existing hardware. Clear Watch said this approach allows dealers to turn existing camera installations into new monthly recurring revenue opportunities and position proactive video monitoring as an anchor service for new sales.
The program targets commercial monitoring applications including auto dealerships, construction sites, multi-family residential properties, parking facilities, convenience stores, logistics yards and critical infrastructure such as energy and solar installations.
“Dealers keep telling us the same thing: their customers are asking for video, and guard services are pricing themselves out of the market,” said Glen Carter, President of Clear Watch. “Our program lets a dealer walk into any account with cameras on the wall and walk out with new RMR.”
Carter said the company's AI detection capabilities give dealers the ability to offer a monitoring service intended to stop crime rather than simply document it.
Monitoring Services Built on DICE Corporation's Platform
Clear Watch delivers its monitoring services through the video monitoring and management platform from DICE Corporation. The platform supports Clear Watch Central's operations by combining AI-driven event handling, operator workflows and dispatch in a single system designed for high-volume video monitoring.
“I’ve been doing video monitoring for a long time, and I’ve evaluated and worked with a lot of platforms over my career — DICE is in a class of its own,” Carter said. “DICE has fundamentally lowered the cost of doing video monitoring with AI — the platform filters events so intelligently that our operators spend their time on real threats, not noise.”
Clear Watch said proactive remote video monitoring can provide dealers with a higher-RMR service than traditional alarm monitoring while helping end customers replace physical guard costs. The company also pointed to changing municipal response policies around unverified alarms, saying video-verified events can increasingly affect whether an incident receives priority dispatch.
The company said its approach combines AI filtering with live operators who can respond to threats as they occur.
