FSN Capital VI has signed an agreement to acquire critical communications provider Zenitel from 3d investors. The parties did not disclose transaction details.

Zenitel provides intercom and public address and general/voice alarm (PAGA/PAVA) systems for critical environments. Its customers span maritime, energy, transportation, industrial, hospital, high-security and corporate building applications.

The company generated more than $143 million (€128m) in revenue in 2025. It reported profitable growth of more than 10% annually over the past five years and employs approximately 450 people, serving more than 2,000 customers in over 115 countries.

In announcing the transaction, Zenitel CEO Koen Claerbout said the partnership would help the company accelerate its growth plans, develop technology faster and expand its reach.

“In FSN Capital, we have found a strong partner who shares our values and vision and brings invaluable operational expertise,” Claerbout said. “As a management team, we are fully committed to leading this next phase alongside our new partner.”

Zenitel has a 125-year history, with operational headquarters in Norway and the United Kingdom and corporate headquarters in Zellik, Belgium.

Ulrik Smith, co-managing partner at FSN Capital Partners, investment advisor to FSN Capital VI, said the firm had followed Zenitel for several years.

“We share the management team’s view not only on the strategic direction of the company going forward, but also on the values-based principles on which to achieve it,” Smith said.

FSN Capital funds have also invested in businesses serving safety and security markets, including Firesafe, Polytech, Saferoad and Seriline.

Eirik H. Wabø, principal at FSN Capital Partners, pointed to Zenitel’s proprietary technology and certifications as foundations for further investment.

“As safety regulation and cybersecurity requirements tighten, we see significant potential to keep investing in innovation and international reach to support customers across the full lifecycle of their installed systems,” Wabø said.
