Security 101 adds Silverstrand Technologies’ expertise in video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, wireless, sound masking and life safety solutions to its West Region operations.
Security 101 has acquired San Diego-based security integrator Silverstrand Technologies Inc., expanding the company’s coverage across Southern California.
The acquisition strengthens Security 101’s presence in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Riverside and adds Silverstrand’s regional team to Security 101’s West Region.
Silverstrand has operated for 19 years, providing video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, wireless, sound masking and life safety solutions. The company serves commercial, government and institutional customers in Southern California and has also completed projects nationwide.
Greg Daly, CEO of Security 101, said the acquisition adds an established Southern California integrator whose approach to employees and customers aligns with Security 101.
“Bringing this team into the Security 101 organization strengthens our West Region,” Daly said.
Silverstrand founder Jeremy Johnson will remain with the operation as general manager. Johnson founded the company and developed it into a full-service integrator serving commercial, hospitality, aviation and government projects.
“My job has always been to take care of my employees so they can take care of our customers,” Johnson said. “I recently recognized that continuing to grow and take on larger projects would require a partner with the resources to back that work. Under the acquisition, Silverstrand customers will continue working with the existing local team while gaining access to Security 101’s national resources, managed services and lifecycle support.
Security 101, founded in 2005 and based in West Palm Beach, Florida, provides integrated security solutions through more than 60 locations in the United States.
